Cleaning Epson XP235 printer nozzle

Hello everyone,

I just started the print head cleaning on my Epson printer, but the power light keeps flashing while the manual states that I must not turn off the printer in this case, or I risk damaging it. It has been flashing for an hour!!!
What should I do?

Welcome to CCM.
As a general rule at Epson, and possibly with other brands as well, cleaning the nozzles can take between 1 and 3 minutes maybe!
If the machine has been "running" for an hour and nothing is happening, there's no point in letting it run for another hour!
Turn off the machine, disconnect it from the power outlet and from the computer if it is connected by cable, restart the PC.
Once the computer has restarted properly, power it back on and start it up, reconnect the cable to the PC if it operates this way.
It should reset, the print head should return to its normal position, try cleaning the nozzles again.

Just a tip, assuming this printer has been inactive for a long time and in order to save ink since a nozzle cleaning "uses up" a lot, remove the cartridges from the printer and store them in a way that prevents leakage.
Using a small syringe, place 4 to 5 drops of distilled or demineralized water into the ink entry ports of the print head and let it sit for a night, for example.
With a cotton swab, avoiding leaving the fibers behind, remove the excess ink.
Reinstall the cartridges, do a final head cleaning, the result may not be excellent at first, but everything will get sorted out very quickly.
By doing so, I managed to save a Brother printer that had been stopped in a metalworking shop that ceased operations for about ten months, it works!
