Hello,
I just changed the cartridge in my printer, yet the error message "the ink cartridge is empty" is still displaying. I've tried another one, same result. I've turned the printer off and on again, but nothing works. (not connected to a computer) because I only print with a USB key. What should I do? Thank you.

do you use original CANON cartridges?
After some research, here’s what I found; it seems to be due to a small gear of a motor that is misaligned on its axis. Explanation and repair in these 2 videos: (it's not in French but they can be subtitled)

Apparently, as shown in the first video, it can be glued back together with super glue using a toothpick and put back in place.
