Soundbar connection issue
Solved
Hello everyone, I'm reaching out for your help because I have a Continental Edison TV model celed654kb2 and a Thomson soundbar sb160ibt.
My television has no coaxial sound connection, nor optical cable connection. However, it does have an HDMI ARC connection and a 3.5mm jack connection.
My soundbar has a coaxial connection and an optical cable connection.
At first, I set up a coaxial L-R connection from the soundbar to the TV using the 3.5mm jack, but the problem is that this way I don't get stereo sound (Left and Right).
To solve the problem, I bought an HDMI-AV converter that has an HDMI input and a coaxial output (Red and White), I connected the TV via the HDMI ARC cable to the box and the box to the soundbar via coaxial. And nothing, the sound comes out of the TV. And I can't find how to change the audio output of this television.
To check if my connection was working correctly, I connected the computer via HDMI instead of the TV and everything works. So I think it's just an audio output setting, but I've gone through the entire TV menu and the user manual as well, and I can't find a solution.
It states in the manual: 6. HDMI UHD ARC. This HDMI port is compatible with UHD (Ultra High Definition, also known as "4K"), which is 3840x2160. Also, use this HDMI port to benefit from the ARC (Audio Return Channel) function. With ARC, limit the number of cables in your setup! If you have a home theater system that is ARC compatible, simply connect it to the HDMI ARC port of this television. In home theater mode, the image and sound from the video player will be transmitted to the television; and conversely, from the television (TNT mode, for example), the sound will be transmitted to the home theater, all using a single cable.
To me, it's not transmitting anything at all.
If anyone has a solution to get me out of this *****, I would be very grateful. Thank you.

Hello,
I don't understand, in this description it says that this TV has a digital coaxial output:
https://www.lcd-compare.com/televiseur-CONCELED654KB2-CONTINENTAL-EDISON-CELED654KB2.htm
You just need to connect your TV to your soundbar with a simple RCA cable:
BUT a configuration may need to be done in the TV's audio menu (such as checking external speakers) if it doesn't work the first time
