Hello,

for a day now, when I select text in Word 2016, the selection is in black, which is really not practical.

Does anyone have the solution to remove this setting?

Thank you in advance for your help,

P.S.: I think it happened when I was testing keyboard shortcuts...

    Hello,

Depending on the version, we've had blue, we've had gray, and now we have black (and it's not new).

On version 365, it's black; on version 2019, it's still gray.
PowerPoint 365 is gray as well.

In the past, we could change the selection color through Windows colors, but that was before...

So, we'll have to get used to black. I would like to clarify that the selection color is black and the font turns white, and in fact, the color of the selected text varies depending on the color of the input text, unlike 2019.

I still have the 2016 version and what's strange is that it suddenly changed (and I haven't done any updates or changed versions in the meantime).

At work, I have the 365 version and it has never bothered or disturbed me. But now it’s not right ^^

    good evening,

no, this is not a "highlighting" of text but indeed the act of selecting the text which is darkened (instead of being gray or blue, I can't remember).
