Hello,

I am looking for how to place a dot under a letter: the t or the d, for example.

This is for transliterations of Hindi.

Best regards,

Nakul2012

Hello,

I recommend you install http://wincompose.info/
which allows you to easily obtain 'exotic' characters.

For example, to get ṭ, simply press AltGr (release the key) then !t
ṭ ḍ ṛ ṃ ṣ
AltGr -u or i gives ū ī etc.

By continuously trying, you eventually succeed.
So the more it fails, the more chances you have that it works. (the Shadoks)
In addition to saying thank you (yes, it happens!!!), remember to set it to resolved. Thank you.

Hello
There is simply IAST, the International Alphabet of Sanskrit Transliteration, with Hindi using the characters and vocabulary of Sanskrit.

The IAST standard is used in print publications and increasingly in electronic publications.

(In the case of Hindi, a few minor phonological changes have occurred.)

type
ḍ gives ḍ

you can also search in the character table by typing the code (highlighted in yellow below)
