Hello, I need help! My problem is that I can't access my router even after a "reset". The page for my router is 192.168.1.1 and usually it opens after a reset (in the worst case), but this time nothing works. I've reset the modem a dozen times but still nothing, I can't access it and therefore can't reconfigure my modem.
PS: I've tried accessing it from several PCs and other devices, but still nothing.
Please help me, THANK YOU.

Hello,

Are you sure about the IP address of the interface?
Isn't it 192.168.0.1 or something else?

Thank you for your very quick response, so no, the IP address of the interface is indeed 192.168.1.1, and sometimes it opens for 2 or 3 seconds then it freezes, nothing works, and if I refresh the page I lose everything.

In ipconfig via CMD, I have the following:

IPv4 Address: 192.168.1.101
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1

Are you connected to the router by cable or wirelessly?

Hello,

We don't know your setup and you’re talking about a modem and also a router... so we need to know exactly what’s going on..???

-- To know its IP, connect only one PC with an ethernet cable to the "Box", nothing else should be connected...
-- Set your PC to automatic IP, if it’s not already done...
-- And start the BOX
-- On your PC, type a command in a black DOS window "ipconfig" and pay attention to your screen in front of

Ethernet Adapter Local Area Connection :

DNS suffix specific to the connection. . . : orange.fr
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . . . .: 192.168.1.15
Subnet Mask. . . . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway. . . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1

The address of your router is on the line "Default Gateway"... here 192.168.1.1 at your place, it's different..

Type this address in your browser's address bar.

As I explained above, when I type ip config in the cmd (with only one PC connected via cable), I get this:
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . .................. . .: 192.168.1.101
Subnet Mask. . . . . . . . . . .. . .: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway. . . . . . . . . ..... . . . .: 192.168.1.1

So the address of my router is: 192.168.1.1 (as I mentioned) but I can't access it. I have also used several browsers including Mozilla, Chrome, and Microsoft Edge, but unfortunately nothing works.

Yes, but I prefer to repeat when I see inconsistencies in the text... to which you haven't responded...

Since it should connect and it doesn't work, there must be a reason, so we need to be more precise and rigorous to identify the problem..

So do you have a Router + a Modem..? you didn't respond... what model of modem is it..?

Turn off the Wifi... turn off the modem and the router... for five minutes by unplugging the wall socket from the 220...
Also stop your PC, turn it off, not on standby...

Restart your BOX (Wifi turned off) and the router, if there is one... wait for it to finish synchronizing... and then start your PC... which is on Dynamic IP...
and in your browser type 192.168.1.1 or the command of your ISP like http://mymodem

Also do a command
Ping 192.168.1.1
and tell me what it gives

Your problem is that you have something else in your house that is affecting the IPs and you are in an IP conflict... if you have Wifi repeaters, you need to turn them off.

Thank you for the response, so no, I just have a modem, the model is a TP-LINK TD-W8951ND
I did what you asked me, making sure to be on Dynamic IP and disconnecting all devices except the PC with which I want to configure my modem, which is connected to the modem by cable, but again it won't open (PS: I don't have a Wi-Fi repeater, and I'm sure no other devices are connected to the modem).

And the Ping 192.168.1.1 gives this:
Packets: sent = 4, received = 4, lost = 0 (loss 0%)

That's it, it's settled. Thank you for your help. In fact, I did a 30-30-30 reset and everything is back to normal. Thanks again.

Oh, alright... that's a real reset... it's strange to see it come to this, he must have had another life before that he hadn't forgotten..

Well, at least it's good that the matter is resolved.

So the ping is good and the gateway address is indeed 192.168.1.1

What is your version of Windows .. or other Linux..?

Normally, you have an installation CD for this modem.. what does it say..??

Is this modem new and brand new...? And was there another one before it..??

I suppose your PC (your Windows) must have realized that it's not the same hardware and wants to create a new network...??

It's possible that you are actually connected to the network... but not to the internet... Try to enter values in DNS1 and DNS2 of your network card on your PC...

You can even assign a static IP to your PC like in the image below.. for all values
