Hello.

My question is simple, how can I be sure if he is sincere or not? Let me explain...
At the very beginning of the lockdown, I was contacted via messenger by a completely ordinary man. After a few exchanges, we decided it would be more practical to talk via WhatsApp. I don’t know why, but I had some reservations about him. Anyway, here we are on WhatsApp, everything is going well, his phone number matched what he told me (professional number registered for a charitable association) with the correct area code for the city of Atlanta. Video call, everything checks out.
But there's a catch... 10 days ago he asked me to lend him $900 because with this lockdown he can’t work anymore, he has nothing to eat. Apparently, the United States is in a worse situation than we are during this pandemic.
I don’t know what to do... Is this a scam or???

Don't trust the numbers that appear.. The scammer can, with a simple manipulation, make the number they desire appear.. So the Organization in Atlanta, the Vatican, Kim Jong Un, Michael Jackson, or anyone else is all the same.. It would be surprising if a 'Charity' tried to fleece you..

Well-known scenario.. The scammer sneaks in and bets on the long term to soften up the pigeon.. Such a nice guy can't be dishonest..

Dump the pretty boy without a second thought.. Your graceful self does not interest him, only your money motivates him..

  New twist... I told him that it was completely impossible for me to lend him this money because, like everyone else during this confinement period, everyone, no matter their country, has problems. His response leaves me feeling doubtful:
  "It's not a problem for me, I completely understand that you cannot or do not want to lend money to someone you do not know, it changes nothing for me. Tenderly"

He told me he sent me a package (a gift he wants to give me) and a letter inside, but the problem is that there are customs fees of 2000 euros, which seems really strange to me.
