Hello everyone,
I'm looking to stream content from my phone (YouTube videos or other internet content) to my TV, without buying additional equipment like Chromecast, etc.
But the equipment I have is quite "old":
- Samsung TV from 2007 (LE26R86BD),
- Orange LiveBox Play (box + decoder)
- Samsung Galaxy S7 phone.
I believe the TV is too old to connect to the phone via wifi, but I'm sure that something can be done through the box.
I understand that I need "a DLNA application or program," but I haven't been able to find one.
On the Orange help page, they say: "The sharing application is natively available on most Android phones. If you don't have a native app, you'll need to download one of the many existing apps from the stores."
https://assistance.orange.fr/tv-decodeur/tous-les-decodeurs/installer-et-utiliser/multimedia-et-divertissement/diffuser-les-contenus-multimedias-de-votre-mobile-sur-le-televiseur/decodeur-livebox-play-utiliser-la-fonction-play-to-tv_162987-712076
But there are all sorts of things in the stores, and I’m lost!
If someone could help me out, that would be super cool!
Thanks in advance.
Lise.

A hello, a reply, a thank you are always nice.-
Thank you, I looked but I don't really understand the connection with the box; I feel like it's not designed for that.
What I want to do is stream a video from a browser or an app on my phone to my TV, without downloading it. Is that not possible?- You need to install an app on your phone, since the Livebox is not on Android it is impossible to cast anything with your phone without a mobile app; there are plenty of them, you just have to search in the store. For your information, some phones have a built-in app that allows it.
For Android, there are operators that offer boxes under Android, such as the MINI 4K.
Have a nice day. - Thank you.
I can't find the "native" app on my Samsung. I installed an app downloaded from the store, but nothing happens. The app recognizes my box, but nothing happens on my TV screen; there’s the box menu and that’s it. When I go into the media center of my box, it tells me to download the "Orange Media Center" app, but that app no longer exists. It's never-ending.
