Good evening,

For several days now I can’t retrieve my photos using the app, Canon image transfer utility. I get the following message: internet link app not configured reconfigure internet link

I have uninstalled and reinstalled but that didn’t change anything. I even tried a system restore to a date before the problem but that didn’t solve it either.

I’m using Windows 7 and it worked fine up until now.

Thanks for your help because I don’t know how to retrieve my photos otherwise.

Hello

I don’t know the Canon program, I have a Nikon. However, a common point found on all cameras and computers: the former store photos on an SD card and the latter all have an SD card reader. So simply remove the SD card from the camera, place it in the reader, and transfer the photos from one to the other. No software needed !!!

Hello,

Yes, thank you, it’s indeed a very good idea to help me out.
But I’d like to understand the problem and especially solve it.

Thank you very much Matthieu

I downloaded the app, everything seemed clear, but... Now a new riddle, I’m getting “Check network settings” on the device. I re-entered my Wi-Fi code but nada
I’m going to end up not liking Canon anymore... :-(

Hi Matthieu,
What does your +1 mean?

That means I’m facing the same problem. For now I’m compensating by using a USB cable ... but that’s not satisfactory!

I’ll go to bed less stupid tonight... ;-)

I have an Ixus 285 HS, I don’t have the possibility to plug in a USB cable. I only have HDMI and digital A/V out
Nice the idea of wireless... When it works.

Indeed, that's the baseline. However, Canon has created cameras with Wi-Fi connectivity. This allows photos to be transmitted directly via Wi-Fi without removing the SD card or connecting a USB cable. For a few days now, it’s no longer working and there’s no information on the web.

Everything is okay, the problem with the settings came from my box! Phew, everything is working again :-)
