- manipulating partitions without prior backup,
- deleting recovery partition winre without checking if any of them are in use,
- using software that forcefully bypasses Windows restrictions.

Conclusion: system crash, lost data, defragmentation.... Blue screen, probably from Winre of W8 (the only one left)....

Since you've started from scratch, take a screenshot of the disk manager and we'll review your partitions.

It's true that I could have reminded you to back up before messing with the disk partitions.

Try to recover the data with Photorec.
You might be able to recover some data.

• Download Photorec
• Run it and go to the filters to recover the required file types (only images, Word/Excel documents, etc.). Make sure to do this, as otherwise it will recover a lot of unnecessary files.
• Select the disk and start the recovery.

As I promised you, let's take stock of your partitioning:

- 400 MB partition: old Winre from W8 (originally installed). It is basically no longer useful.
- 260 MB partition: EFI partition, used for booting the PC.
- 112 MB unallocated space: remnants of the old 128 MB MSR partition (replaced by a 16 MB MSR).
- C Volume of 440 GB: your Windows. It cannot be extended to the right. The 112 MB space may be recoverable if the 16 MB MSR partition is placed before the unallocated space (it's invisible in the image). But it has no interest.
- 350 MB recovery partition: advanced recovery for W10... It will be too tight with upcoming updates, and you will very likely find your partition multiplication again, because W10 is too stupid to enlarge it and chooses to duplicate it in a larger size.
- 23.75 GB recovery: your factory image of W8. It is only useful if you want to go back to W8 someday.

In summary, you cannot enlarge anything in its current state.

The first thing to do is to attempt data recovery with Photorec, Recuva (or others). You will recover some of it, even though the defragmentation (which you should have avoided) has likely caused a large part to be lost.

The second thing, if you wish to extend your C drive, will be to sacrifice the recovery partition (factory W8), move the 350 MB partition to the end of the disk while taking the opportunity to expand it to 700 or 1000 MB. Then, you will be able to extend your C drive. Forget about the 112 MB space... it is not a problem.

If, on the other hand, you want to reduce the C volume and Windows prevents you from doing so, it is better to do it properly from the disk manager by temporarily disabling the blocking elements (hibernation, recovery, and page file). Then, the blockage will disappear and you can safely reduce your volume.
