HP PSC 750 and Windows 10

Hello.

I want to clarify right away that I am not familiar with computers and I don't know the jargon very well. Sorry if I'm not using the right terms.

I have a Acer Aspire 4830TG laptop, originally running Windows 7.

For a few days now, I have finally migrated to Windows 10, following the steps provided on a forum and using the installation software on the Microsoft website.

Since this migration, my computer no longer recognized my printer, model HP PSC 750. I want to specify that this model includes a scanner.

More precisely, when I plugged in my printer, I could see a device titled "PSC 750" showing up under "Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers", in the "Unspecified" category, but I couldn't print anything.

I then came across this page: https://support.hp.com/ch-fr/document/c01829642

I followed step 1 (in full), step 2 (tab "USB connection to a computer"), and step 3 (tab "USB connection (Windows 10, 8)") and step 4.

At the end of the process, a new printer icon appeared in the "Printers" category (still under "Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers"). It is titled "HP PSC 750 (Copy 1)".

Currently, I am able to print, as long as I select "HP PSC 750 (Copy 1)" (for example in WORD).

However, the scanner does not work.

To scan under Windows 7, I used "Windows Fax and Scan". Now, when I go to this program and want to start scanning, the following message appears: "No scanner was detected. If a scanner is installed, make sure it is powered on and connected to the computer, and then try again. For more information on adding or troubleshooting a scanner, see Help and Support."

I also tried scanning with the "Scanner" app (which I downloaded from Microsoft Store), but the problem is the same: when opening the app, it says "To get started, connect a scanner."

I don't understand why the printing function works, but not the scanner, even though it's the same device.

Does anyone have an answer to my problem?

Thank you very much for your help.

Good evening.

Do you see your printer/scanner in the Device Manager?
