Hello, good evening
I’m reaching out to you today because my MacBook Air has a serious problem. After a reset operation, I’m trying to turn it back on, but when it does, I see a folder with a flashing question mark endlessly.
So I decided to perform the following operation: cmd+r at startup.
Everything goes well until it asks me to connect to the internet. I enter the password, it connects, and then disconnects!
Frustrated, I turn off and on the PC to redo the manipulation, and a message appears: Apple.com/support. -2006F
Please help me; I need to use the PC for my baccalaureate (I'm taking it on April 2).

Using a bootable USB drive is certainly possible, but you need a properly created drive for that. I've written several methods depending on the version of Mac OS, and even Apple has created a page for this. What you need is to have another Mac to create this drive. It is theoretically not possible from a PC running Windows without workarounds, since Windows cannot natively write to Mac OS format or APFS format, and does not understand Terminal commands.
For example, see:

And Apple’s support:

If creating this USB drive is not possible, the best option would be to get the appropriate adapter cable for this Mac model: https://support.apple.com/fr-fr/HT201862

I was able to reinstall Catalina thanks to a bootable USB drive and the computer is working perfectly.
Thank you for your help.
