Normally, you should be able to access the BIOS and the "Boot Device" menu without having to clear the CMOS... I'm a bit surprised...
Then, in the Boot Device, set the order as follows:
1° -- DVD Drive
2° -- USB
3° -- HDD (hard drive)
So if you have a bootable CD/DVD in the drive or a bootable USB stick in a USB port, the PC will boot from that before the hard drive...
If you don't have anything bootable in either, the hard drive will boot the PC.. -

Hello,
Very often these batteries have two soldered wires, but at the end of the wires, there is a small connector that you can unplug for 2 minutes and then plug back in...
If there is no connector and everything is soldered, you can short-circuit with a wire between the two sides of the battery, let’s say for three seconds... and that will reset everything.
-- However, on this occasion, it would be a good idea to measure the voltage of this battery; it should be around 3 volts or a little more... but at 2.8 volts or less, it is bad, and it needs to be changed... especially if it's for reasons like this that you're trying to do this reset...
-- In the BIOS menus, there is an option... "Load default settings" or factory settings, it's the same as a CMOS reset... Because you didn't say WHY..??-
Thank you very much for your clarifications, my dear. I had heard from a friend about creating a short circuit across the two terminals of the battery, but the idea didn't appeal to me until now. I will try both options, my goal being to unlock the SETUP code to access the booting of the DVD drive or USB port in order to reinstall the system. Thank you again.

What code..?? Send a screenshot..
Very often, it's the "Delete" key right at startup... that allows you to enter the BIOS... Because in your case, you need to go into the BIOS only and not into Windows..
-- You need to press and tap the key before the end of the ACER logo display
-- Or maybe you are talking about a password to enter the BIOS..?? Is that what you mean..?? I think we might not be understanding each other well..? -
Hello!
Just to inform you that the Clair CMOS was a success by pressing the power button without the battery. I would send you images, but opening an account here is a bit complicated for me, so I'll do it soon.
Thanks again for your help.-
OK great.
The solution for sending images is to upload them to the site "cjoint.com" https://cjoint.com/
at the bottom of the page, there's "Create a link", click on that, copy the link and paste it here in your POST...
and I will be able to see the image with the link... It should also be understood that everyone reading the Forum can see this link... It's the same if you post an image here...

Yes, it's less bad but not enough...
This file is an Excel file... which seems to be in XLSX format...
It is possible that this file is older with a different version of Excel... and that it cannot be read with your version of Excel... For example, there are .xls files (without the final X) that come from Office 2007, which is still very common and has its adherents.
You might have problems like this...
There is a free software to view Excel files https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/bureautique/9253-excel-viewer/

Aside from that, everything is fine, the temperature is good and the breathing is too...
Take care.
