I had the same issue with the same phone. I reset the phone to factory settings. The problem is solved. It is much more responsive again. Disadvantage: you have to back up photos, videos, music, and documents beforehand. Curiously, it was a good surprise, the contacts were not erased. However, everything else, including programs, was deleted. You have to reinstall everything.
To reset it, go to Settings, then Backup and reset, and finally, at the bottom, Factory data reset.
Sure, it takes time, but it's radical. And what a difference!!!
