Applications blocked by Java Solved

Question

Hello,

I recently upgraded to Java and now I have Java 7 Update 51. However, since this update, some applications are not working anymore. Before, I used to get a message asking if I wanted to allow the application to launch, but now I have a first window titled "Application Blocked" followed by the message "Applications blocked by security settings, your security settings have blocked the execution of a self-signed application". I can only click OK or close the window, but either option results in the same outcome: a second window appears. It's titled "Application blocked for security" and states "Unable to execute the application", then it shows the name and location of the application and the reason "your security settings have blocked the execution of a self-signed application". Again, I can only click OK or close, and the result is the same: my application doesn't run. I can also click on more information, but that's not very helpful.
I went to the Java site and I thought I found the solution. Basically, I was supposed to add the application's site to the exception list! Yes... but no because indeed the two windows no longer appear BUT my app still doesn't work!!!!!
If anyone has had this problem and solved it or if anyone has a suggestion, please don't hesitate as I'm out of ideas!!!!

Hello,
I had the same problem for a few days but I managed to solve it:
You need to go to start, control panel, java (which may vary depending on the installed versions), double-click on it, then go to the security tab, and set a medium security!!! Normally everything works like before. I hope I have helped those concerned.

I've never had this issue :(

However, I can make some assumptions, are you ready?

Can you use this diagnostic software? It will help me assist you:

▶ Download ZHPDiag (by Nicolas Coolman)
▶ Run it (if you are on Windows Vista or Windows 7, right-click and select --> Run as administrator)
▶ Follow the installation prompts (make sure to check the box to create a shortcut on the Desktop). It will launch automatically at the end of the installation.
▶ Click on configure then on the icon that looks like a magnifying glass (“Full options report”)
▶ The report is located on your Desktop
▶ Go to this site, click on “Browse”, select the ZHPDiag report, and click on Send file. Wait while the file is being sent, then copy/paste the provided link in your next reply on the forum.

If you need help, follow this tutorial: http://www.sosvirus.net/canned-speech-zhpdiag-t712.html. Don't confuse ZHPFix and ZHPDiag!

Hello,

Uninstall: Accelerate PC, Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer, Optimizer Pro v3.2, µTorrent

▶ Download RogueKiller (by Tigzy) to your Desktop
▶ Close all your running programs
▶ Launch it (if you are using Windows Vista or 7: right-click on it and select "Run as administrator")
▶ Wait for the pre-scan, then click on the "Scan" button
▶ At the end, ensure all items are checked, then click on "Delete"
▶ A report (RKreport.txt) should be created on the Desktop, post it in your next response.
▶ Restart the PC

There is a removable disk infection:

▶ Download https://www.usbfix.net/ (by El desaparecido and C_XX) to your Desktop
▶ Connect your external data sources to your PC (USB drive, external hard drive, MP3 player, etc.) without opening them
▶ Right-click on the USBFix program and choose 'Run as administrator'.
▶ In the main menu, click on "Delete"
▶ Your Desktop will disappear, then the computer will restart: this is normal
▶ Let the tool work until it's done
▶ At the end, the report will be displayed: post it in your next response.

Use this specific anti-adware cleaning tool:

▶ Download AdwCleaner (by Xplode) to your Desktop.
▶ Run it, click on Clean and wait for the scan to complete.

▶ Then go to the "Scan" tab, check "Run a quick scan" then "Scan"

But I actually have the same problem as Caro26

There is another solution:
Click on start, then in the search field, type: configure java.
Then, in the security tab, click on "edit site list".

Note: you need to add the site itself, but also the API of that same site.

Example: http://siteaprobleme.fr
http://api.siteaprobleme.fr
You must enter BOTH.

Thus, the security prompt should normally reappear.

Same for me!
The worst part is that no one can explain this malfunction.
After the security warning, by clicking on "I accept the risks," it says: "connecting," and then instead of connecting, it says: "connect fail(?) !!!
