How to get rid of Avast browser during installation

Hello,
After performing a cleanup with Cleaner, followed by AdwCleaner, a window appeared indicating Avast Browser at the end of the action when clicking on finish.
A little scared to see this window installing, I turned off the computer and turned it back on a few minutes later.
After opening the Windows page and clicking to enter my password, the screen displays my administrator or user name and begins preparing Windows, which lasts a few minutes. And there I no longer recognize the desktop page, which has turned yellow with the usual icons plus that of Avast Browser appearing twice in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen. A window opens indicating that the system has been updated to Avast Browser and asks me to choose between recommended or customized settings (the recommended box is already checked) and then click continue...
I am stuck and do not wish to choose Avast Secure Browser (new name for Avast Safe Zone Browser) as the default operator, but instead return to Google Chrome.
I do not have access to the documents, which appear to be empty. I have turned off and restarted the computer and again Windows preparation and the same windows open, indicating that the connection is established with a temporary profile, that I cannot access my files, asking me to disconnect and reconnect later or contact my system administrator. (I don't know how). I apologize for the length of my report, but these details may be useful to anyone among you who can help me solve the problem.
Should I check either box and continue with the requested action or not? How can I restore the previous state?
Thank you
Best regards
PS: I am subscribed to Avast Secure Premium for the antivirus and also Cleanup Premium.

Another question Bazfile,
I'm going to turn off the PC and it tells me to update and restart, if I do, could it change something?
And in "Change PC settings," I also see "Update and Recovery"?
Or should I just shut it down without updating and go directly to safe mode?
I'm quite a novice in this area and don't want to make the problem worse?
Thank you for your response

he indicates me to update and restart

So restart as requested and do the updates, then once the updates are done and the computer is restarted, if the problem persists, completely uninstall Avast using this Avast tool and read carefully what is written on the page.

The update and restart didn't change anything. The homepage hasn't changed, but a red maintenance light is indicating that I should check the location settings: important.
1- enable the Windows location platform
2- participate in improving Microsoft location services
Both are checked, but I have to choose one, otherwise I can't apply it. Is it really important?
Which one should I choose?

Otherwise, no problems detected by maintenance.
This afternoon, I successfully backed up all my documents, photos, and music, so I'm no longer worried about losing my files.
Also, I see in the PC settings under update and recovery: it's a bit annoying to uninstall Avast if we can avoid it.

Uninstall that piece of crap Avast that has messed up your PC; you can always reinstall it once things are back in order. Now it's up to you, because as far as I'm concerned, I don't have any other solution to offer you.

Hello
uninstall AVAST which is too resource-intensive
see how here:
https://www.malekal.com/desinstaller-supprimer-avast/#Avast_Cleaner
prefer " Kaspersky "

Hello,
When you install Avast if you do not choose the custom installation, a bunch of unnecessary add-ons install themselves, for example Avast Cleanup Premium which is useless, see this page, Avast Secure Browser is also useless see this page read the indicated pages carefully, you just have to uninstall Avast Secure Browser to uninstall it use RevoUninstaller see this page.

Hello
it's become a habit to add options and costs to invoices without asking the client's opinion

but with you, it's different, these options are part of a suite of software that you willingly pay for, it's for your own benefit

if you check personalized, you may have the option not to install it

in "programs and features" you can certainly uninstall certain unwanted options

Thank you Redbart,
I hadn't seen down below this recurring update window for Avast Secure browser with the last line written in tiny text indicating that the installation of the software meant my tacit agreement to a subscription, otherwise to uninstall.
I uninstalled this Avast Secure Browser software directly in programs and features.
However, my screen is still yellow, I can't find my previous screen and I still don't have access to my documents, photos, images, music...
If I click on start and then on documents or images or music, the folders are empty.
Yet when I click on PC, I see that the used capacity of drive C is the same as before this problem occurred.
Google Chrome is asking me to reconfigure it, but it doesn't accept my address or phone number...
Do you see a solution?
Thank you

I feel like you're logged into a different profile, for your problem boot Windows 8 in safe mode to see if the problem persists, especially if you can access your documents, photos, images, music.

Hello Bazfile and thank you for responding to me.
Indeed, you are right, I am on a temporary profile following the automatic installation of Avast Secure Browser which I uninstalled, and that's why the home screen is different from usual.
I saw in the search that my documents are not deleted, but are in files and I have never started in safe mode.
I will follow your procedure with my son tonight... and I'll let you know if it's resolved.
Thank you and have a good evening.
