Hello,
I used my external hard drive this morning, copying files, moving and deleting.
Everything was going very well and at one point during a file deletion it took a long time, and everything crashed. Since then, whenever I plug in my hard drive, it crashes the explorer, and even the whole computer. I can't see the hard drives on my PC under "Disk Management" as long as the external hard drive is connected. I don't understand what happened. Thank you for your help.

A colleague managed to fix my HDD using Gnome Disk on Linux.
Thank you for your responses. -
Hello
test the disk with "crystal disc info "
This software is very well designed, indeed it has a color system to inform you about the status of your HDD/SSD:
- Blue, very good condition
- Green, very good condition
- Yellow, one or more defects are reported, this can lead to instability of Windows, crashes... etc.
Backup your data as soon as possible, then change the HDD/SSD
- Red, the HDD/SDD has reached its critical threshold, it is about to fail (physically or mechanically)
Turn off your PC and have a professional data recovery performed.
- Gray, the HDD/SSD is detected but not recognized by your computer.
If it appears on an HDD/SSD that has been functioning for several years, this generally indicates a fatal failure.
