External Hard Drive Beeping ... HELP!!!

Hello,
I have a problem with my external hard drive.
At first, when I bought it, everything was fine.
Then I had to format my computer under Windows XP (the external HDD was unplugged from the computer).
And since then, nothing works with my external HDD.
Could my problem be due to the formatting of my computer?
I mean, does the external hard drive no longer recognize my computer after I formatted it, and can the external hard drive only recognize the computer during its first use?
If that's the case, how can I fix this???
I connect it with a power outlet to the wall and a USB cable to the computer.
The external HDD case just beeps continuously, and the light on the case lights up for a very brief moment and goes out immediately, remaining off.
I don't feel any rotation vibration in the case, and it doesn't appear anywhere on my computer nor in the device manager.
I used Drivers Boost in case it was a USB driver problem.
I used TuneUp Utility 2013 to optimize my computer.
My external HDD problem is still not resolved.
So I'm relying on someone who can help me.
My external HDD:
Expansion External Seagate 1 TB
P/N 9SEAN1-500
S/N 2GHPAN8L
I hope this information is enough as I have no way of knowing more without breaking the case.
Thank you!!!

Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 8.0

Did you find a solution to your problem? I had the same issue and I found everything intact. It was beeping at startup too and then it wasn't recognized. I fixed the issue. Let me know if you're interested.

So actually, if the sound is a kind of beep like in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5Y7BniaRXg then you just need to follow the same steps.

The read head is stuck on the disk which is why it's beeping, as the mechanism is forcing but fails to activate that damn head.

I followed the same steps and the problem was solved with no loss of information.
