Hello,
I am reaching out to you because I have a problem with my Sharp LC-55CUF8462ES TV.
Indeed, for the past few weeks, it has had issues starting up.
Let me explain:
When I turn it on, it takes a very long time to start, generally nearly two hours. In fact, when I press the power button, it intermittently displays a red, green, blue, white, and black screen, and repeats this cycle for several hours. About 3 seconds of a completely red screen, then 3 seconds of a completely green one, then blue, white, black, and so on.
I would like to point out that when I turn it on, the Sharp logo does not appear at all.
After several hours, usually between 1 and 3, the TV works. First the sound on a black screen, then finally the sound + picture.
I have checked, it does not seem to be in "test" mode. And I have already performed a factory reset on the television, and it hasn’t changed anything.
I opened the TV, everything seems fine, the capacitors are fine.
Thank you for your help.
Best regards.

Good evening,
This might be an issue with electrical overload of the TV's protection circuit;
The solution is very simple and worth trying:
You need to unplug the power cable and connect the two prongs of the plug together (short circuit with an electric wire, a paperclip) for at least an hour to allow the protection circuit to discharge.

I will try that.
So I'm intentionally creating a short circuit at the level of the plug that connects to the wall socket, right? I unplug it and reconnect the two plugs (pins) together for 1 or 2 hours, is that correct?
Did you have a positive result with this operation?
Thank you
