Hello, I have an old Neufbox (I used to be with SFR but now I'm with Orange), and I would like to divert it from normal use and "transform" it into something, but into what?

Hi,
Depending on the specific model, it might be possible to hack it to turn it into a router that runs on Linux, for example.

It's not super useful, but if you enjoy tinkering and learning, it's perfect!

    Yes, but I'm talking about an open router that you can tinker with in all directions, have fun playing network admin, which the box with its original firmware does not allow.

    If you don't understand it or find it useful, then it doesn't concern you, so... well, you can't really do much with it. A decorative object? I think the old neufboxes like the NB4 are quite ugly...

Hi, maybe she needs to start the box. I'm not saying anything, but apparently, since it's a dedicated processor, it's unlikely to change its boot program unless you unsolder it to put a new and blank one, and even then, we don't know if there's a ROM that acts as a key for the boot. Making a NAS with this kind of recovery is unlikely.
