Should you unplug your box at night or not?

Hello,

I don't know if this topic has already been discussed (sorry if it has), but I would like to know if, for obvious energy-saving reasons, it is better to unplug your modem when you are not using it? Basically, does a modem consume a lot of energy or not?
Because apparently it's not very good to unplug your modem all the time; it's designed to be plugged in 24/7.

So is it better to unplug your box, at the risk of reducing its lifespan? Or should you leave it plugged in all the time? (And thus consume energy continuously...)

Thank you for your answers!

The DLM issue can easily be resolved simply by disabling DLM monitoring on the Orange website http://assistance.orange.fr/vos-questions-sur-le-dlm-4312.php

The savings made are quite ridiculous; for a consumption of 13w, we save between €3 and €5 including tax per year.

But it's true that electrical savings are often a sum of many small savings.
