LG TV to VCR
Solved
Hello,
I want to connect a VCR to the LG50um7450 TV. I just bought a male SCART cable and 3 male RCA cables, but unfortunately, the SCART cable coming from the VCR is also male.
I'm feeling disheartened; I've asked several people, but I have to figure this out on my own, even though the seller of the cable was very nice.
I already tried using the HDMI, but the width didn’t fit either!
Should I return and buy another 3 RCA and female SCART cable (if it exists!) and be sure that it will work?
This is the first time I'm posting on a forum; I don't know how this will go if there are responses.
Thank you in advance.
Claude

Good evening Claude,
, I just bought a male SCART cable and 3 male RCA cables
One end SCART male and RCA yellow, white, and red is fine
"the SCART cable coming from the VHS is male too"
I don't understand you here because the SCART output on the VHS is necessarily female
If you have a male SCART <-> male SCART cable, you need to unplug it and instead plug in the cable you bought

I’ll take a closer look at the connections tomorrow (in a cabinet!!) ; sorry but I need to go prepare dinner for my husband who is right in front of the TV!!!
Thanks everyone, maybe I’ll have clearer ideas!!! my previous connections weren’t a problem because the previous TVs had a SCART connector!!!

But be careful, there are some that go in the other direction (RCA to Scart) enjoy your meal
