LED TV and VHS VCR connection

The recorder needs a TNT decoder and it works (this is valid for standalone recorders that do not have TNT).

I just tried a connection with a DTT decoder following the setup proposed by Pascal, but it doesn't work.

- antenna cable to DTT decoder,
- SCART (pins) from the DTT to the VHS recorder,
- coaxial cable from the DTT to the TV.

As a result, nothing works: "no signal" is what is displayed. I select "source" on the TV remote, I choose SCART but I can't access the menu of the recorder. Similarly, the DTT decoder is inoperative. How can I coordinate all this to allow me to record?

Modern televisions, like the old ones, only have one antenna socket; however, for the VCR or a standalone recorder (without digital terrestrial television), the antenna must be routed through the TNT box to ensure proper functionality.
So, if you have a VCR and a TNT box, you just need to connect the wall antenna to the "rf in" of the TNT box and the "rf out" of the box to the TV (if it has built-in TNT).
The VCR or recorder is connected via the SCART of the box, and the VCR/recorder is connected via SCART to the TV (while making sure to respect the "in" and "out" SCART connections).
The latter two (VCR/recorder) should be in auxiliary mode; the channels to record can be changed through the box.
There you go.
As for some TVs that have one or two fully wired SCART connections (in and out), it’s pointless to connect them to a recorder or VCR since it will record whatever you're watching, even if you switch channels.
For standalone recorders, I’m specifically referring to recorders that do not have built-in TNT; for those that do (with integrated TNT), the antenna goes to "rf in," and "rf out" goes to the TV.

I wanted to thank you all. Thanks to all of your advice and with a clear mind, I DID IT!

I made the following connections:

- coaxial cable from the LED TV to the VHS recorder (TV socket)
- SCART plug from the LED TV to the VHS recorder (bottom plug),
- SCART plug from the VHS recorder to the TNT tuner (AV2)
- wall antenna on the TNT tuner.

It's difficult when several technologies coexist.

So a TV - 1 VCR - 1 TNT set-top box?
