Hello,
I have a problem with my Chromecast.
Let me explain my situation: I have a PC screen to which a Chromecast is connected (to stream music, TV, etc.), and the screen is connected to my PC as a second screen, then my JBL speaker is connected to the audio output of my screen to get sound.
When I cast music from YouTube or cast movies from myCanal, the sound cuts out by itself for a few seconds, and this keeps repeating indefinitely, which is unbearable and makes my Chromecast unusable.
But when I use my screen as a second display with my PC, there’s no sound issue; it comes through the JBL speaker without interruptions.
So I think the problem lies with the Chromecast.
If anything is unclear, feel free to ask me questions.
Thank you in advance for your help,
Caydo

I have exactly the same problem; personally, I plug my Chromecast into the TV and connect to it with my phone to watch a YouTube or NETFLIX video. The problem is that only on a YouTube video, the image continues but the sound stops, then starts again, stops, then starts again... infinitely. While Netflix works perfectly, and when I connect my tablet to the Chromecast, YouTube videos work perfectly fine.
So please help me resolve this issue...

I finally found the solution! You need to go to the audio settings of the Chromecast and set the "surround sound mode" to stereo only. And tadaaa it works.
