Need help with an indoor TV antenna

Good evening,
I bought a flat indoor antenna to get channels on my SABA television since I don't have a socket.
But when I switch to ATV, I go into the menu to search for channels but it doesn't work...
Do I not have a TNT decoder in my room, is that the reason? I only have my TV and the indoor antenna I bought for €23.

    Hello,
What is the model of this SABA television (see label on the back).
The acronym ATV stands for Analog Television... however, in France, television broadcasting has been digital (DTV) since 2011.
So you need to search for channels in DTV (digital or numeric)

Indoor antennas rarely work. The transmitter needs to be close and almost in sight.

I did an automatic channel search in DTV this time, it shows that 10 channels were found in DTV, Radio 0, and Data 0
But after the search, it says "no channel, necessary channel search"
      I don't understand anything...
      The model: LED40AHD1051E(t)

The given reference has no echo on the web....
I can't therefore know if this television is compatible with the MPEG4 DTT standard, which has been the only one broadcast since April 2016.
Do you have the manual for this television?

No, it dates back to 2015, but a Confo seller told me that my TV was compatible, so I will try the antenna again.
But the problem is that I no longer had a remote control, and now I've bought a universal one, but it doesn't work either... When I press any button on the remote, a red dot lights up at the top of the remote... I'm fed up ????

      Good evening Baladur

      Our friend’s TV "LD40CHS1051ES"

      is compatible with mpg4

but I don't see how he searches for channels without the remote control!!!!!!!!!!

      For Snize

An indoor antenna is like an outdoor antenna.... it needs to be oriented

Try different positions.......... near a window if possible

      Ciao ciao

Once again, indoor antennas hardly ever work
Which transmitter are you dependent on?
    Give me the city
What brand and model is the remote control?

I live in the city of Flers in the Orne department, in Lower Normandy.
My antenna is on the roof, I am on the 2nd floor, there is also a 3rd floor and then it's the roof.
My remote control is a "meliconi" brand, model TLC07
And my television is a SABA model LED40AHD1051E(T)

Flers in Orne, a single possible transmitter Caen - Mont Picon
Transmitter over 20Km almost north (355°)
See more details with your address: https://www.matnt.tdf.fr

You say My antenna is on the roof and in the question you mention an indoor antenna????

For the remote control, check the following codes extracted from https://www.cme.it//cme6/pag03.php?vx=0&idm=fr&mtm=t7&mrc=53414241&mod=4c454434304148443130353145285429

The real antenna that makes the house work is on the roof, isn't that the transmitter for my indoor antenna that you are talking about?

Whether the antenna is indoor or outdoor, it's the same transmitter that provides the signal.
As fmq says, the indoor antenna must, crucially, be oriented towards the transmitter (North within a few degrees).
However, receiving a signal from a transmitter more than 20km away with an indoor antenna, I must admit that the chances are slim to say the least.

Well, if they're selling antennas, it must be working.

Selling is one thing, providing a good reception is another
Unfortunately, sellers do not have an obligation to deliver results..
It would be wiser to invest in a cable connected to the antenna on the roof.

        evening snize

personally I live in the hamlet of Gourdiflots deep in the Picard countryside

        I have a well-amplified and high-quality camper antenna
clear view of the "big city"

no reception problems and the antenna is gathering dust in the attic!!!!

        avoid the somewhat "cheap" antennas

        cia ciao

    Hello
for the remote control, the link I provided in your other post (closed) is correct, I checked with the reference of your TV
    https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/32990540317.html
Please note that once you have the reference for the correct remote, you will likely find it on a French website, but it will be more expensive not to mention the shipping costs

for the antenna, you have your answer: most indoor antennas do not work, as they are too weak and... indoors!
    to decode channels:
    your TV is equipped with
    1 NICAM Stereo tuner
Digital TV tuner: 1 integrated digital tuner compatible with MPEG2 and MPEG4 (SD and HD streams)
TNT Tuner: TNT Tuner (DVB-T / Terrestrial Digital Tuner)

you need to search for your channels in MPEG 4
but no channels found, or only those broadcasting with the best signal without a good antenna, and well-oriented; as pointed out by everyone who has already replied.
Oh, and don’t copy-paste to indicate the wrong reference of your TV each time according to the photo in your other post!
you have a SABA LD40CHS1051ES and not LED40AHD1051E(t) no "t" anywhere!
double-check if the TV reference xxxxxES is not in the list of TVs for the universal remote already purchased and if so, see the code.
