Good evening everyone,
Due to an issue, I would like to remove the battery in order to reset my BIOS. However, on my PC's motherboard, I only see one thing that could be the battery. However, it seems difficult to remove it from the pin:
Do you think this is indeed the battery?
Thank you.

Hello,
yes, it is indeed the battery, it is not the speaker, on some small laptops, the battery comes in this shape.

If it's the battery, I find it well "attached." Can I remove it without any problems? Thank you.

the black plastic part is just glued. the white connector may be harder to pull out, hold the two wires at the end near the connector, pull while moving from side to side
Hi,
If you don't want to replace the battery (if it's dead) but simply do a CMOS clear, there's no need to remove the battery. Disconnecting it is exactly the same as taking it out of its socket on a fixed motherboard. (PC unplugged and battery disconnected, of course).
If your BIOS retains the modified settings even when the battery is disconnected, which is quite surprising, it means it stores its parameters in non-volatile memory. This happens sometimes, but it's not very common. In that case, the battery is only used for the date/time.

Hello,
In your photo, it’s not a battery, but apparently the small speaker (buzzer speaker) that generates the BIOS beeps, see this page, the BIOS battery is a CR2032.
Here’s what the battery looks like.
To reset the BIOS of your laptop, unplug your laptop from the power source, remove the battery, and hold down the power button continuously for 2 minutes, replace the battery and start it up.
