Calculate file transfer time

Hello,

I know the formula

file size * 8 / USB transfer speed

However, I don't understand why we multiply by 8 when the file size is greater than the transfer speed?

And why do we not multiply by 8 when the size is less than the speed?

    Hello,
    We don’t multiply by 8 because it causes in English for the value of a file, K bytes and to get to Kilo bytes, we have to do X 8.
