Mario Kart Tour Compatibility

Hello,
My 5-year-old daughter loves Mario Kart Tour, she plays it on my smartphone, so I just bought her a TECLAST T20 tablet.
Processor: 2x 2.6 GHz ARM Cortex-A72, 4x 2.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A53, 4x 1.6 GHz ARM Cortex-A53.
Graphics processor: ARM Mali-T880 MP4, 875 MHz.
RAM: 4 GB, 800 MHz.
Built-in memory: 64 GB.

Surprise, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE to download her favorite game!! The store tells me "it's impossible to download the game, the tablet is incompatible.. How is that possible when the tablet is more powerful than my smartphone?!!
..I'm so frustrated for my daughter, we practically bought the tablet just for this game in particular.. and I can't afford to buy a new tablet, can you help me? Or at least explain it to me?

    Hello ROSSI46DU77 and thank you for your response. Android is basically the OS of the tablet, right? I don't know anything about tablets, I'm pulling my hair out, I prefer PCs, they're more intuitive... How can I find out the version of Android? Can it be changed like you would change a version of Windows? Thank you.

        So I checked and I have version Android 7.1.1
        In the meantime, I downloaded the APK compatible with Android KitKat 4 (and UP). But the game asks me for an update when I open it. And of course, there’s no update button :(

      Yes, but have you tried the apk?

      It might work.

      Or check if your tablet is up to date.

      I followed your link but apart from the "get it on google store" button, I don't see any other way to download.
      However, if I click this button, I end up on the store and there I come back to square one because it says: "your device is not compatible."

      I don't understand why it's so complicated..... it's still one of the essential cult games.. why don't the developers make a version compatible with all androids?...
      and why is the version I installed compatible with android 4 and above not compatible with android 7?... 7 is well above 4.. I'm losing it :(
