You can replace "to better share the wifi" with "to share the wifi less well." The range and speed of the signal are diminished by obstacles. Now, if your closet is not metallic, you should not notice any changes, but in no case an improvement.

Two better options:
- place the box higher (on the closet or on a shelf).
- change the box if your internet service provider offers a more powerful one.

That said, if the different PCs have old wifi cards or if some users are using the bandwidth to play online, don't expect any improvement. You need to switch to ethernet wiring.

Actually, the box needs to be installed near the outlet that allows for its connection; you forgot to tell us if it is located in the cupboard or elsewhere, as well as the method of internet connection.
Afterwards, it is always possible to add a Wi-Fi access point connected to the box by cable.
