Hello,

on my Sony Blu Ray player BDP-S1200 from 2014, I have quite an annoying issue. With certain films (usually in Blu Ray format), there’s a very bothersome noise during playback, a sort of buzzing sound even though my player is usually quite quiet. With the movie "300," it’s so loud that I stop the film after 10 minutes as it ruins the experience. Sometimes the buzzing stops when I take out the disc and put it back in (sometimes after 3-4 tries...), but there are no issues during playback, no bugs. I feel like the player vibrates too much when the disc spins. I've never had this problem in the past, but only since I changed my TV stand. Is it a coincidence, or is my player just approaching the end of its life?

    Hello,

Not easy with a noise ...
You say you've changed your TV stand, maybe it's resonating with it.

Try putting a rubber mat under your player, well... something that absorbs those vibrations.
(mouse pad, chair cushion, silicone mold, whatever you have on hand ... something firm yet flexible)

Thank you for your response, problem solved, it is indeed my furniture that is causing this noise. I'm trying to watch the latest Hunger Games on Blu Ray, a terrible noise as soon as the movie starts (but not during the menu). I place my player on the floor of my room... And just like that, silence! No vibrations.

      Incredible, isn’t it o'O

        You're welcome ;-)
        metal furniture?
find a rubber square, or a pad, etc., in the hardware store to place between the reader and the furniture (to absorb the vibrations).
