Good evening everyone,
I would like to know if it is possible to transform (if possible easily) a laptop keyboard into a USB wired keyboard?
I would like to do this with this keyboard: https://www.ebay.fr/itm/New-For-HP-250-G6-255-G6-256-G6-258-G6-keyboard-Russian-black/162985745253 .
Are there any ready-made conversion kits?
Thank you for your advice.

Hi,
Laptop keyboards are often connected with a proprietary ribbon cable that doesn't always adhere to USB standards.
Sometimes, the keyboard has special functions that require additional contacts on the ribbon, making it non-standard. For example, physical buttons for Wi-Fi, apart from the FN keys... you know, stuff like that.
And anyway, manufacturers often don't use the same ribbon cable.
A basic keyboard costs nothing at all, and investigating the laptop's connections could take time and might require an adapter that's almost as expensive as a regular keyboard.
If you need a keyboard in a specific language, there are sticker packs available to place on the keys to change them.
