Despite closure, OUTLOOK.EXE remains active

Hello,

I have a recent computer running Windows XP. After doing a clean and complete reinstall of my system, I installed Office 2007, for which I have a license. Everything works fine, diagnostics are correct, and the latest Windows updates are installed, except that I am encountering the following problem. Closing Outlook 2007 does not end the OUTLOOK.EXE process. To be able to use the software again, I have to go to the task manager to terminate it. This way, Outlook 2007 can work again, but it's not a very elegant way to proceed. Thanks to anyone who can provide the right tip for achieving normal operation...
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

    In Outlook 2007:

    1) Tools tab
    2) Privacy Settings Center
    3) Add-ins
    4) "Go" button (at the bottom)
    5) Uncheck all!

Check (several times) that Outlook closes properly... It works!!!!

Then you can redo steps 1 to 5 by rechecking the boxes one by one to find the one that causes the problem.

      Hello,

Thank you, the solution works, however I didn't disable it, I deleted it, so it's hard to go back and see what caused the issue.
No matter, I no longer have this problem, your solution is good.

      Best regards
