Hello, I have a problem with an Excel file that was sent to me. As soon as I try to open it, it takes a long time before it displays that the file is locked for editing by myself. I am given the option to either open it read-only or to be notified. I ask for your help because this document is necessary for the continuation of my training. Thank you.

Configuration: Android / Chrome 75.0.3770.101

It seems that this is not about password protection... but rather that the file is already considered in use...

In that case, start by downloading it to your hard drive instead of trying to open it directly from your email (because it seems that... this is what you're trying to do...)
Once the file is saved on your hard drive... check that no instance of Excel is already open.
Ideally... open the task manager and "kill" all existing Excel instances.

Once all of that is done... you should be able to reopen your file.
Be careful... when opening it, a small window may appear at the top of your Excel indicating that the file is "read-only" and asking whether you want to enable editing for this file... in that case, respond Yes....
