Is the postal bank ID the same as the account number?
The bank account number contains 10 digits and a letter.

It does not match the account number.
From the La Banque Postale website:
Find your identifier (10 digits) on your individual account statement (CCP or savings).
Otherwise, your identifier will be sent to you by mail.
To make this request, we invite you to:
contact 3639 Option 4 (1),
or visit your post office.
