So, I recently installed a new RAM stick in my PC, bringing me to a total of 16 GB of RAM, yet I see that out of the 16 GB, only 5 GB are usable...

My motherboard is a Gigabyte B450M DS3H

I know this question must have been asked millions of times, but I can't find any answer...

Thanks in advance :p

    I found it by myself!

For those who have the same problem as me, it's actually extremely simple:
    - First, open the Run dialog by pressing the Windows + R keys at the same time
    - Then type msconfig in the bar and click OK
    - Next, go to the Startup tab and click on Advanced options..., which will take you to a new window
    - Now uncheck Maximum memory, then click OK, the window will close and then click on Apply and OK
    - To apply all this, you need to restart the PC and it should work.

Hello, I have 5.91 GB of usable RAM out of 8, I've done what you said but nothing works. Does anyone else have a solution? Thank you in advance.

Is it about PCs with shared memory?

    Hello
go to "run" (right click on the start button)
    type the command "msconfig"
click on the "startup" tab > advanced options...
in the top right uncheck the box "maximum memory"
and set the value to zero
    apply
    ok
    then restart the pc
