Hello
My DVD drive on my MacBook Pro isn't working; the CD drive is fine, but not the DVDs. Since I've used it very little, I have absolutely no idea what might be causing this issue.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thank you.

Hello,
You need to check that the reader/burner is capable of reading and burning DVDs.
From the Apple menu/About This Mac/System Report/Hardware/Disc Burning/select the drive, the information will be in the right window.
Best regards
PS: if the information states that it is suitable for DVDs, a cleaning using a cleaning disc (CD Cleaner) can fix the problem, running it several times if necessary.
When it's urgent, it’s already too late (Talleyrand)
When everything has failed, read the manual ;)
