Hello, the sound is no longer coming out of my TV. However, the sound does come out when I plug in headphones into the dedicated jack. I've opened the device and didn't see anything unusual. Thank you for your advice.

Hello,
The reference given is not that of the television, but that of the panel.
As for the sound:
- plugging in a headset automatically cuts off the sound from the speakers... check if the micro switch located in the 3.5mm female jack is not stuck.
- make sure there isn’t a procedure in the menu to disable the speakers.
- Then try to perform a factory reset in the menu (this will require a complete reconfiguration of the television afterwards).

Hello and thank you for your response. However, my problem is not the headset but that the TV's sound is no longer audible (no sound) and I would like to find the fault to repair it and get the sound back. It is a THOMSON model: 32HS3003. Thank you for your advice.

I understand that it's not the headset... although if the micro switch that detects the presence of the headset is stuck and mistakenly detects it... it cuts off the speakers.

Next, I invite you to check that in the TV menu (Sound or options) there isn't a way to mute the speakers (I couldn't find it in the manual)

Finally, a factory reset as described on pages 14 and 15 of the manual "Store Reset"

Good evening, I followed all your recommendations but unfortunately the sound still does not work. I will have to make do with connecting a speaker to the jack. Thank you again for your valuable advice.

It will take more than a speaker... The jack plug is not capable of providing the power for a simple speaker
An active speaker will be necessary.

Have you checked if there is a micro switch visible on the female headphone jack of the television and if there is a way to unlock it?

What do you mean by active speaker? Yes, I looked at the female socket of the television and I don't see a microswitch. On the motherboard, there is indeed a small "ampli" with 26 or 28 mini soldered legs, but as a "beginner," it's impossible for me to go any further technically.

An active speaker is a powered amplifier system that drives one or more speakers.
Do you not see a microswitch that could be activated by the male jack when it is in place?

The contact is probably in the female socket.
