Hello,
The screen of my Thomson television won't turn on. The TV's indicator light turns on normally, but the screen remains black. The problem started to appear gradually. At first, it was enough to unplug and replug the TV for it to work again, but now the screen won't turn on even when unplugging it.
Here is a photo of the TV's circuit board if it can help

For issues of random shutdowns or power instability, the first culprits are often the electrolytic capacitors. The symptoms you describe are typical; it worsens over time.

Start by replacing them; they are easily identifiable: they are the upright cylinders.
Generally, they are 1000 or 1500 µF, with a voltage of 16 or 25 V; replace them with the same specifications.
Unit price ranges from €0.70 to €1.

Don't attempt this if you don't have the proper equipment (25W soldering iron, solder, desoldering pump) or any knowledge of electronics (the capacitors are polarized; if installed backwards, they can explode). And do not keep the device plugged in if it is open.
