Hello,
I will try to express my problem as clearly as possible.
I am selling my practice and I would like to inform the patients I have treated in the past 12 months about my successor.
I have a first file with the contact details of all the patients (about 9500 patients) including Name, Address, Zip Code, City, Phone.
From my revenue for the past 12 months, I have another file with Date, Name, Procedures, Fees, Payment. Since some patients have visited multiple times during the year, I will need to remove the duplicates (I have looked into this and I think I can manage it).
How can I "merge" the two files in order to only contact the relevant patients? If I have to do it manually, I will have to work the night shifts......
I have tried in vain to find a solution, so I am reaching out to you.
Thank you in advance to everyone who can help me.
Martine

Hello,
if you open a file and select all the content "ctrl + a" then copy it.
you open the 2nd file and paste it where you want
if this does not suit you, there are other similar topics to yours on the forum

zarran05 thank you for your response.
When I do this, I combine the two files into one file. I poorly formulated my question.
1st file contains the coordinates of all my patients, 2nd file contains the consultation dates of the patients over a year (but without their addresses).
How can I retrieve the addresses of the patients for that year?
Thank you for your help

After, I don't know Open Office very well, but can you sort your table so that each patient is arranged in alphabetical order (select all the patient names, right-click, sort from A to Z)
You do this on both tables
Then from the table of the last 12 months, you copy only the column of patient names
You paste it at the top of the patient contact table and shift each cell down until all the names of the patients from the last 12 months match with the names of the patients in the contact table
I did this with a few names as an example, I hope you understand where I'm coming from.
Best regards
