How to access my PopCorn C200 from my PC (Windows 10)?

Hello everyone,

I'm turning to you after several nights spent working on this. I used to be on Windows XP/7 and had no issues, but I can't access my multimedia hard drive from Windows 10 to add/delete files.

My PC and my multimedia hard drive are connected via Ethernet to my Orange box. I can even see them connected on the PC network through the web interface of the Popcorn C200, but I can't add it as a network drive to access the data from the hard drive on my PC. I’ve got the IP address and the MAC of the Popcorn, but...

Could a kind soul explain to a novice in computing how to set up a network on Windows 10 (using an address like 192.168, etc.)? I've searched online for members with a similar issue; one found a solution, but unfortunately, the thread is no longer active...

    Hello

    The fact that the popcorn is visible via your PC shows that the problem is not establishing a "network" since it is already there.
    However, if the popcorn is visible at the network level but you cannot access the content, it means that there is something that is not activated either on the popcorn box or under Win10; a protocol that allows a PC to read multimedia content.
    Moreover, security levels under Windows 10 are higher than under Windows 7.
    Unfortunately, I am not familiar with 200.

      Thank you Madmyke, basically I see the C200 popcorn in the form of an icon that takes me directly to a web interface page of the popcorn (a bit like the Orange box page when you type 192.168.)

      I remember that it was possible to access its multimedia hard drive like a network drive, like C, D, etc., where it was possible to access files, add, delete... And now I can't remember how to do it. I know I have the MAC address and the fixed IP of the popcorn, but I might be doing the operation incorrectly. Do you know how to create a network drive from Windows 10 using the IP or MAC addresses?

      This is where you need to check the pages, because you need to activate the NTP server and other things on the popcorn or check that they are activated (via the remote control). These virtual servers are what allow content playback.

      However, Windows 10 is more paranoid in terms of security, and you probably need to activate something + check that this feature is enabled in Windows 10.

      I can't help much more because I'm not at home right now :) and I especially have a 110, but I don't use my PCs to access it because I store my content only on a centralized NAS, not on the popcorn (I have removed the drives). The popcorn only serves as an interface between the TVs and the NAS.
