Hello,

I notice that my C drive is red and I see bootstat.dat taking up space but I can't delete it. I tried downloading some software earlier and now my computer is powered off and restarted. What can I do?
Can I go back to a previous update by selecting a date? Thank you.

    Hello,

To free up disk space, you can start with a Windows cleanup:
    Windows Key + R
    Type in cleanmgr
    Perform the cleanup.

Then, follow this tutorial: how to free up disk space on Windows
From the link, use WindirStat to visualize what is taking up disk space abnormally and clean up accordingly.
Try to determine what is taking up disk space abnormally with WindirStat.

Here are some points to check mentioned in the link:
    • Clean up using the Windows cleanup program and free up disk space in the Windows folder: How to reduce the size of the Windows folder
    • Check for misconfigurations, System Restore, Antivirus, etc...
    • presence of the windows.old folder following a Windows 10 update or reset
    • see if you have videos or others that take up space too

It is important to use the WindirStat program to see what might be taking up space, feel free to share a screenshot if needed.
