Unable to import an .eps in inkscape

Hello,

I just downloaded Inkscape and I'm trying to import an .eps file. I tried using the open function and the import function, but neither works (loading error). It is supposed to be able to open this type of file. What can I do?

    Personally, I would have chosen GIMP for an EPS file because I don't recall that Inkscape has the capability to open an EPS file, which I still don't understand since we can create them. Well, I don't use it every day, so it might just be me.

    I imagine you wanted to open an EPS in Inkscape to retrieve the SVG it keeps.
    Personally, importing works for me.
    Try with the latest version, maybe it will work better.
