Hello,

I would like to reach out to you with a question:

I am going to move to the city center where I won’t be able to get internet. A store located about 100-150 meters away is okay with sharing its WIFI connection from its SFR BOX.
I would like to know if there is a way to capture this signal (WIFI amplifier, etc.) properly since we are very fond of streaming.

It's impossible: in Paris (with family), I'm lucky to catch Starbucks, albeit with difficulty, on the other side of an important street (20 to 25 meters).

Hi,
150m, if it's not in direct view, forget it.
Otherwise, you'll need to invest in an antenna like this one and a good parabolic dish behind.

Hi,

you can also try installing a wifi repeater (booster) behind the store's box... ideally, it should be placed outdoors or behind a window...

  there's one for the outside, an access point....
  
  during training I was 100m from the box in direct line of sight and I was able to connect via Wi-Fi without any repeater...

  I'm going to try this method which isn't too expensive; I may have overestimated 150 meters, so let's keep our fingers crossed. I'll let you know the result. Thanks again.

Hello,
thank you for your quick responses.
So we are on the first floor with a direct view of the shop window in question, the box is located near this window.
Does this really seem impossible to you?

  150m is too far... the maximum range is 100m but here you're going too far...
  keep trying and let us know.

  To extend your Wi-Fi signal, the best option is definitely an outdoor Access Point.

  no... the outdoor access point (like this)
  
  the repeater is not placed outside, it does not extend the wifi area either, it creates its own wifi...
  
  with the repeater, the SSID of the box will not be the one you will capture... in your case, the access point you will place outside in a waterproof enclosure will be more suitable...
