Hello,
Currently experiencing a network failure (apparently the FTTH PON module at the back of the Delta has burned out), I am wondering about the replacement/emergency equipment that could be used to connect to the Free fiber network (I still have a network connection to my apartment).
1. Is it possible to have a router different from the Delta server?
2. If yes, which one (at a reasonable price, as it would be just for backup)
3. If not, is there a way to replace/bypass this FTTH PON module?
If it makes any difference, I have a full-stack static IPv4 and I am connected to the NRO: MAG35.

hi,
a router yes, you can even keep the Delta, the problem is finding a compatible fiber ONT with Free, because their fiber is quite particular compared to others, either P2P or 10G-EPON, I think you can only find these ONTs with them.
Don't they do home intervention for the Delta for the price it costs?
afterwards, the backup is in 4G in principle.

not great, a technician without spare parts.
I know that the ONT has to be configured to correctly identify the connection on the network, but that should be able to be done on site.
