Hello everyone,
I've been trying for a week now to connect the new Orange decoder to my Sony Hi-Fi micro system, but to no avail...
HDMI cable between the decoder and TV -> that’s fine (for now, I’m using the TV’s sound, but it's not great at all)
HDMI cable between the TV and Hi-Fi system -> when I switch from the TV sound to the Hi-Fi sound, I can see that the connection is made, but no sound comes out.... I’ve tried going into the decoder options to switch the sound to "home cinema" mode, but nothing works...
I’m starting to lose patience and don’t know who to turn to for help!
Thanks for your help!!
Equipment used:
- very recent Orange TV 4K UHD decoder
- Sony KDL-40V5500 TV
- Sony HCD-DH50R micro system (photo available to see the different outputs)

Hello,
I can't find the manual for this Sony mini chain which, if I'm not mistaken, should be very similar to https://www.sony.fr/electronics/support/res/manuals/4143/41431902M.pdfIf that's the case...
The HDMI port is an output port (it's normal that it doesn't work).
The only audio inputs are the Audio IN ports.
On the television side, it has a stereo RCA output
So that’s the one you need to connect to the chain with a male/male RCA audio cable

Especially when it's not there...
