Hello,
I'm having an issue with media players on my PC... I was using VLC and everything was going well, but today I'm facing a big playback issue with MKV files. I'm looking into the problem, trying to change the settings using techniques found online, but nothing works: the videos are choppy, the sound and images glitch, and it's really unpleasant.
So I've decided to download another player: MPC HC.
Well, everything is fine for playback... But it's impossible to load subtitles, which I could easily add when using VLC
I looked online again and I'm going to adjust the settings by performing the following manipulation: option, playback, output, video mixing renderer 9 without rendering.
Feeling hopeful, I restart the episode of my series and... Nope, still unable to add the subtitles, the box is still grayed out compared to the others. Although I can modify the audio tracks...
So I would like to know what to do to make it work...
If anyone knows how to fix either of the two players so that I can watch my videos without issues and help me configure everything properly, I would be grateful!
Thanks in advance :-)
P.S.: I've also tried playing with KMPlayer but it's the same issue as with VLC.

Hello,
With MPC_HC! File --> Subtitles --> Load Subtitles (Ctrl + L)
It works with AAS, SRT, SUB but not with SSA on my end based on the little test I just did.
List of subtitles taken, it seems:
If subtitles are already included in the MKV, to choose the one you want, go to Playback --> Subtitle Track and select the one you want.
Best regards
