Hello,
I can't add a post that's already been published in the feed to my story. When I tap the arrow to share a post below, I don't have the option "share this post in the story."
I don't understand why the option has disappeared?

I did it!!! Let's see if it works for you.
Step 1 - Go to a public post to test such as football players etc.
Step 2 - Click on a photo, then click on the send icon
Step 3 - scroll all the way down the friends list and you will see add a post to your story
Some accounts work the old way but for me the story post is at the bottom

I had the same problem for several months and for me it worked by going to my store and clicking on... Update Instagram! I wish I had thought of it sooner. If that doesn't work, maybe you even need to uninstall and then reinstall the app? I hope this helps you :))

I have this problem too. I checked all the websites to see if there was a specific reason, I even switched my account back to public but that doesn't change anything. I don't have the option to share a post in my story. If anyone knows why... ????????

From the news feed, you can share someone's post to your story only if their account is public and they have allowed their posts to be reshared.

The people I am trying to share with have authorized everything, but nothing works anyway. The problem lies elsewhere.
Same problem, I did the update and it’s good, I admit it’s a hassle, impossible to post my IGTV publications in stories, after the update, the issue is fixed, the "add to story" button is still at the top

I also have the problem lol I changed my phone for Christmas and thought it was because of my old phone, I now have a Samsung S9+ and I still don’t have it while my friends with their crappy phones do, I really don’t understand.

I have exactly the same problem. For several months, it’s very annoying; I can only share IGTV videos! And Instagram does not respond to messages.
I have the same problem... the feature has completely disappeared from my account while I had it before, and it's been almost a year. I find hundreds of posts discussing this issue but no solution, no response from Instagram. I don't know what to do. Perhaps everyone who has this problem should spam Instagram by leaving comments on their account and via "report a problem". I'm ready to send them the same message every day if it can make them respond on this issue...

Hi, you just need to scroll down when you want to share a post.
Before, the << share to story >> was at the very top, above your contacts list, but today the << share to your story >> is all the way at the bottom, below your contacts list!!!

Hello, I just got a new Android phone and I can't share posts. I used to be on iOS and there was no problem. Besides, when I log into my account with my old iPhone, I can share posts.
So I just want to know, do most of you have an Android phone or does the problem also exist with iPhones?

When I do it with my Samsung it works but not with my iPhone, I even uninstalled the app and it still doesn't work, I don't understand.
And unlike the other testimonials, mine is extremely random... Sometimes the option to add content to Story is offered and sometimes it is not...
