Hello everyone,

I have 2 "nested" dropdown lists, meaning the second list depends on the item selected in the first one.

I need to count the selected choices.

I'm attaching my file hoping you can help me.

Thank you in advance.

    Good evening,

As for me, I don't understand your request, you should return a file with the results entered manually
    See you soon

    Hi Mike.

First of all, thank you for looking into the matter even though I wasn't very clear.

Here's what I would like to get:

Obviously, I filled in the boxes manually, but it would be great if Calc could “calculate” the results based on what I've filled in for the people (in practice, the table is much longer: I have nearly 300 people).

Have I clarified my request a bit?

    Good evening Ehlana.

The fact that the choices were obtained or not through cell dropdown lists has no impact.
The proof: the file you sent us does not contain any dropdown lists...

In A19 the formula is =COUNTIFS($B$10:$B$14;$A17;$C$10:$C$14;A18)
to be copied into the other 9 cells.

    My regards to Mike-31.
It's nice, retirement! Especially in the Antilles...

    Re, hello friend Raymond,

    another possibility

in A19 paste this formula and drag it to the right
    =SUMPRODUCT(($B$10:$B$14=$A17)*($C$10:$C$14=A18))

    etc ...
    A+

    Perfect.

Thank you, Raymond. Retirement looks good on you lol

Mike, I'm going to try your method as well, but it seems a tad more complicated for me to understand lol

Thanks to both of you, anyway. Awesome
