Having just switched to fiber, I purchased a new GIGASET 660 duo set. I charged the batteries and set everything up, which worked well. After 24 hours, I wanted to turn off the second handset following the instructions. This handset turned off fine, but I can't turn it back on by pressing and holding the hang-up button as instructed. I removed the batteries, waited a few minutes, then put them back in the handset after testing them with no results. What should I do to turn this handset back on? Thank you.

Hello,
If this product is new, return to the seller, as most failures occur at the beginning of use, "bathtub" curve:

Hello,
You should have a manual with...?
Battery well charged, it’s indeed the "Hang up" button for three seconds... No less, no more.

Thank you. I do have a manual where the number of seconds for the press is not specified.
I tried with a press limited to 3 seconds. No results, the handset remains in off mode, no way to get it back into operation.

Thank you for your response. This malfunction occurs after 24 hours of use and only on the second Gigaset 660 handset; the first handset works normally.
I thought I might have missed a step and that a kind soul could point it out to me.
Having purchased the set from AMAZON, I wanted to try to avoid a return, especially since I might be asked to send everything back.

A big thank you. But after removing the two batteries for a few minutes and reinstalling them, and noticing that the second GIGASET 660 handset still didn’t work, I had removed the batteries again for a good twelve hours before putting them back, still with no result.
I was hoping that someone would know a key combination that could restart this handset; sometimes it only takes a small adjustment.

I have a universal controller that allowed me to test each battery individually, which was charged to the maximum possible. I also checked the
quality of the connections between the positive and negative terminals of the batteries and the device, with no positive result.

Good evening,
Just in case, the keyboard might be blocked.
Before trying to press the "Hang up" button again, long press the #(hash) key (at the bottom right).
This key allows you to lock or unlock the keyboard with a long press.

Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it's not there...
Today there's something new: I had left the handset not working, refusing to turn on when placed on its charger, and I noticed that the "answer call" button was flashing green and the "SMS" button was red. Despite pressing the answer and hang-up buttons, nothing else works and the handset's screen won't turn on? For the moment, I've removed the batteries and the problem remains with a GIGASET handset, used for 24 hours; it's the N92 model while the base and handset No. 1 function normally.
