Hello,
I have been trying in vain for several hours to delete my iCloud alias, let me explain.
In 2016, I moved abroad, and to access all the apps in that country, I had to create another iCloud account. However, this account was registered as an alias, and now I can't delete it, neither on my iPhone nor on my Mac.
On the iPhone, it tells me that I need to modify the iMessage & FaceTime settings, which I have already done. On my Mac, it doesn’t give me any information, I can see it but I simply don’t know how to delete it.
This is very frustrating because I no longer need it, and it is blocking me from checking my keychain in my iCloud settings on the Mac, which hinders certain actions, I quote "Unable to configure iCloud Keychain due to a communication problem with iCloud."
What can I do to resolve my issue? (I've already looked online, at Apple Support, etc. Nothing works!)
Thank you, best regards.

Hello amoris0410, is your primary Apple ID an @icloud.com email address or an email address from another provider?
If your main Apple ID is an email address from another provider, you cannot delete the iCloud.com email address that appears in your Apple account.
Please note that it is not possible to add an iCloud.com email address or an email address from another provider to an Apple account if the address being added is already linked to another Apple account, so it is therefore not possible for the email address you refer to as an alias to correspond to another Apple account.
Your main Apple ID and the iCloud.com alias are part of the same Apple account.
Also, please note that in order to use Keychain on your Mac, it must be running at least OS X Mavericks 10.9.

My Macbook is on the latest version normally; I am on Mojave 10.14.5
Unable to use the keychain, unable to delete the alias, I don't even have the opportunity to do so.
So I repeat, the alias is part of the same account and it is an iCloud alias. However, my iCloud account (which I have been using for a few years, so the very first one) is a Hotmail account...
Thank you for your response.
So if you have read my previous post, you will understand that you cannot delete an alias in iCloud.com when the primary ID is not an email address provided by Apple.
In summary, you cannot delete the iCloud alias because your main Apple ID is a Hotmail address.
For years, I was in the same situation as you; my main Apple ID was Hotmail and the alias was in iCloud, and it never caused any issues with Keychain.
However, make sure that your Hotmail ID is properly set in the iCloud settings on all your Apple devices. I also recall that all devices must be protected by a passcode (I mention this in case one of your Apple devices does not have a passcode).
In some cases, changing the Apple account password can resolve the situation; changing the password will disconnect all devices from your Apple and iCloud accounts, and each device will then ask you to enter the new password in order to reconnect to your Apple and iCloud accounts.
